About Julia

Julia is a 21 year old college student. This is her senior year at New College, and she is majoring in biopsychology. She plans a career in dolphin research and has worked towards this goal for eight years. She was born in Bozeman, Montana, but she grew up in rural Cedar Hill, Missouri. She left school at age 10 to learn on her own at home. She and her younger brother Michael enjoyed the company of their chickens, angora rabbits, cats, and Border Collie, Mercy. She got a high school diploma from the Clonlara home education program.

Julia enjoys reading, writing short stories and poetry, computers old and new, computer adventure games, fiber arts (weaving, spinning, knitting, crochet, sprang), contact juggling, bellydancing, swimming/snorkling, cooking (but not too often), eating insects, drawing/painting, sculpting dolphins out of polymer clay, sandsculpting, the Hawaiian language, candlemaking, working on her nascent home business, and obviously, learning new things. Right now much of her time is taken up with working on her senior thesis, applying to graduate school, and planning a wedding.

She can write in Gregg shorthand (Diamond Jubilee edition), but not well; she can type in dvorak and juggle three small objects.
