Arbitrary Memory
Arbitrary Memory

A singular delight might be
If escape were possible
The raindrops falling off my face
The stars are falling through the sky
A trust does not necessitate
What's possible a summer's night
What through an ancient memory
Arbitrary, T A G C...
A thing both wished and both denied
Conscious transcendence meant
The voice of sky and wind around
Affected by perception mine
The thoughts I tag and mean to share
The voice unheard that whispers there
What our creation might not be
Electrons - arbitrary memory
What voice then a reflected glow
What song an ancient diode sings
And laughter shatter through the broken glass at any rate
Poetry of technology
But understanding's unecessary
A guarded thought, an indirected neural path
An arbitrary memory
What can't be seen and can't be spoken
Weak with strength a summer's night
And distant a control that speaks

- Our arbitrary memory -
